As one of the newest members of the Board of Directors of the Burlington Camden County Association of Realtors, Kevin Bayzath now will be able to share his 18 years of successful real estate experience with a wider audience.

Bayzath, the Broker of Record and Manager of the Marlton office of RE/MAX Connection Realtors, was elected to the position this past fall and began his one-year term in February 2010. This will be in addition to his previous service to the Association as chairman of the Grievance Committee and as a member of the Legislative Committee.

Among his other professional accomplishments, Bayzath lists a number of certifications, including the prestigious GRI designation of Graduate, Realtor Institute. He also is a Certified Residential Broker (CRB), a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Some of the courses in which Bayzath has participated to receive these accreditations include: "Risk Management," "Building Wealth Through Real Estate Investments" and "Managing for Peak Performance."

Bayzath is a Distinguished Sales Club member of the New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR), a position he attained by achieving 10-plus years in the NJAR's Million Dollar Sales Club. He also is a multiple-year member of the RE/MAX Presidents Club, the RE/MAX 100% Club and the RE/MAX Executive Club

Planning and management, leadership and mentoring are valuable traits for a supervisor in any field, but when Kevin Burbage brought these skills to his team in the RE/MAX Connection Mantua office, the results were dramatic.

Within less than a year of becoming Branch Manager at the Gloucester County-based operation, Burbage had the Mantua office in the top 10 of all RE/MAX agencies in New Jersey. The office's #7 ranking in 2009, when combined with the #4 ranking of the company's Marlton office, is what has made RE/MAX Connection one of the top real estate firms in South Jersey.

Burbage earned a Business Administration degree from Belford College in Oldham, England, before receiving his New Jersey Sales Associate License in 1998. He then received his New Jersey Brokers License in 2002 after attending The Real Estate School in Cherry Hill.

His industry educational designations include Certified Neighborhood Specialist (CNS), Certified Mortgage Servicer (CMS), Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS) and Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR). Burbage is a member of the Gloucester/Salem County and the Camden/Burlington County Boards of Realtors as well as the New Jersey and National Associations of Realtors.

In addition to his experience in the real estate field, Burbage is an Instructor at the Salem County Fire Academy and is Executive President of the East Greenwich Township (Gloucester County) Fire & Rescue Squad. He also holds a number of fire, rescue and safety designations from the New Jersey State Police and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Born and raised in Atlantic County, Brown earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from The College of New Jersey in Ewing and also studied business law at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison. He started a title insurance firm, Guardian Settlement Agents, as a part-time business in 1998 while he was working as a real estate manager for a local law firm.

After Guardian became a full-time job and led to the creation of a general insurance agency, Guardian Property & Casualty, Brown began acquiring RE/MAX real estate offices, first in South Jersey and then throughout the state. All of these companies now are part of Brown's Castle Realty Management holding company. "It's amazing to think that when this all started 11 years ago, I ran things from my bedroom," Brown said. "Now, as part of Castle, the entire operation employs more than 250 people."

In addition to his professional success - and being recognized by NJ Biz magazine as one of its "40 Under 40" business leaders - Brown also holds positions of responsibility in the civic arena. He currently is a Burlington County Freeholder after having served as Deputy Mayor in his hometown of Evesham Township. As a Freeholder, Brown has immediate oversight over the Corrections and Education departments of County government, including all prison facilities, the prosecutor's office, the court system and the three county schools.

In both of his governmental positions - as Freeholder and as Deputy Mayor - Brown has donated his salary to local charitable causes. He also has been honored for his work with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has been active for many years with the One Child Saved youth service organization.

Brown lives in Evesham with his wife, Deanna Fahy-Brown - who serves as Chief Financial Officer for the Castle holding company - and their three children.

A third-generation Realtor who has spent more than 35 years conducting real estate transactions in the Central New Jersey counties of Union, Middlesex, Somerset and Hunterdon, Dwight Hathaway brings a strong background of related experience to our REO/BPO operation.

Hathaway was licensed as a Realtor in 1973 and joined the RE/MAX Classic Group in 2005. Throughout his career, he has successfully negotiated numerous short sales while ensuring, along the way, that the process is as painless as possible for both the sellers and buyers. Hathaway's work in the challenging real estate market of the late 1980s has given him the knowledge to make today's closings seamless for both the banks and the buyers.

With a professional specialty in residential sales and purchases, Hathaway concentrates on such key niche areas as buyer brokerage, condominiums, investment properties, luxury homes, relocations and rentals. Elizabeth Meditz

Elizabeth ("Liz") Meditz, with nearly three decades of real estate experience, brings unparalleled knowledge of the West Milford and Passaic County area to our REO/BPO operation.

Meditz earned her GRI designation in 1986 by successfully completing course work at the Graduate, Realtor Institute which places her in the top tier of real estate professionals nationally. In addition, she has earned a Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) rating, meaning she is a specialist in handling short sale transactions. Such deals currently make up more than half of today's real estate market.

She received her New Jersey broker's license in 1986 and her New York broker's license in 2004. Meditz has consistently achieved Circle of Excellence status (formerly known as the Million Dollar Club) and has earned the Half Century Realtor designation as well.

Meditz belongs to the Passaic County Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors and she also participates in the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service (MLS), the Garden State MLS and the Greater Hudson Valley (NY) MLS.

She has been with RE/MAX Classic Group for the past two years, having worked at two other Passaic County realty firms for eight and 17 years respectively


Anthony Scarpa

With 30 years of REO experience, including many serving as the vice president of three different REO organizations, Anthony "Tony" Scarpa is one of the key members in our REO/BPO operation.

In addition to holding important supervisory management positions in the New Jersey REO market, Scarpa has been a real estate branch office manager and also an agency broker/associate. He is a certified specialist in such areas as relocation and luxury home marketing. A New Jersey registered builder, Scarpa also has spent time working in the specialty real estate areas of vacant land and new construction sales, the segment in which he got his start in 1980.

Throughout his three-decade career, Scarpa has amassed a total sales volume of more than a quarter-billion dollars and he has won numerous state and national awards as a top-producing real estate professional. In addition, he has wide-ranging knowledge in both the foreclosure market and in lender relations.

Scarpa has listed and sold residential and commercial properties along with both land and new construction REO properties throughout the state. He also, earlier in his career, spent several years developing REO markets in New Hampshire before returning to the Garden State and resuming his work on New Jersey properties.

After 10 years as a police officer in Kenilworth, NJ, Mark Scuderi decided in 2004 that he wanted to earn additional part-time income for his family and obtained his New Jersey Real Estate License. By year's end, Scuderi was the number one sales agent in his office and he had purchased the franchise.

Today, Scuderi still works for the Kenilworth Police and has received numerous service commendations, including a Union County Medal of Valor for his actions in saving an elderly woman from a burning house. He now owns the two RE/MAX franchises that make up RE/MAX Supreme in Phillipsburg and Kenilworth and he serves as a panel speaker for RE/MAX International. He also has instructed owners, brokers and agents on how to improve their businesses.

Scuderi received the 2006 RE/MAX of New Jersey Broker/Owner of the Year Award and he has followed up those honors by being named to the 2006 RE/MAX Executive Club and, in 2007 and 2008, to the RE/MAX 100% Club.
